| Why did a duplicate contact appear? | Matching depends on the selected key, such as record ID, external ID, email, phone, or exact name. Review source details and company association before merging or archiving. |
| Why is the contact linked to the wrong company? | Company links depend on the selected association, CSV value, integration mapping, and duplicate records. Correct the association after confirming both records. |
| Why did an update not change messages or sales records? | Contact updates do not rewrite already-sent messages, deals, orders, invoices, or audit history. Update related records through their own object, action, or workflow. |
| Can AI create or update contacts? | AI should review possible duplicates, company association, source ID, communication fields, permissions, and downstream records before changing contacts. |
